Manipur CM inaugurates Plant Health Clinic in Imphal

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated a Plant Health Clinic at the Directorate of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Imphal with an aim to boost economic growth of Manipur through agriculture and horticulture.

He also launched a mobile soil testing laboratory van.

The initiative taken up by the department to set up such a plant clinic will provide plant health diagnostic services to farmers.

He won the 2017 Manipur Legislative Assembly Election from Heingang Assembly Constituency.
He assumed office on 15th March, 2017.

In April 20, 2018, Singh launched the First State-Level Ginger Festival  at Parbung in Pherzawl District. The festival will remain one of Singh's legacy in promotion of agriculture in the hill district which is one of the most backward in the state.
